About the Hike:
Itinerary:
8:00 AM: Meet at Wake N' Bakery in Glacier. Grab breakfast if needed.
8:30 AM: Begin driving to Bagley Lakes trailhead. Click HERE for driving directions.
9:15 AM: Arrive at Bagley Lakes Trailhead. Gear check.
9:45 AM: Begin hike.
≈1:00 PM: Lunch at Iceberg Lake. Swimming opportunity (optional).
2:00 PM: Begin hiking back to car.
≈5:00 PM: Finish hike and return to car.
The hike to Chain Lakes truly has it all! Wander through alpine meadows, sparkling lakes, lush forests, and beneath the jagged peaks of the North Cascades. Some of the most iconic North Cascades scenery will be on display, and this trail allows you to experience it without having any technical skills.
Bring a bathing suit if you'd like, there will be an opportunity to cool off in one of the lakes!
The hike is rated as "moderate" on AllTrails. We will begin hiking the loop at the Heather Meadows Visitor Center and hike clockwise.
A Northwest Forest Pass is required to park at the trailhead. You can purchase an annual or day pass HERE.
